We don’t often talk about how one product turned into another.
That’s because the Nerf Engraver Machine Gun is a testament to the power of collaborative design.
We use 3D printing to make our guns, and the Engravers in particular have become a favorite in the community because of their modularity and durability.
A single engraving is a simple way to create something unique and meaningful.
This is especially important because of the rapid development of 3D printers, and there are a number of ways to take advantage of 3d printing for your own projects.
In this post, we’ll explore how the Engrader machine gun was inspired by a Nerfthe engraver who made a machine gun for a film.
The engravers creation of a Nerfin machine gunThe engrader who created the machine gun came up with the idea in the mid-’90s.
He said the design was inspired to show the character’s relationship to the machine.
“He wanted to show how the characters relationship with the machine is really, really important to the story of the film,” said Andrew Naylor, director of the Nerftoday Museum of Art at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
“It’s not just one of these simple guns, but it’s an emblem for the whole franchise, for the entire franchise.”
Naylor’s team took an old Nerf model and used a 3D printer to create the machine guns design.
Naylor said the Engravers gun was actually made out of an old toy gun from his childhood.
“It was a toy gun,” Naylor explained.
“We had to make something that was so close to a real gun.”
The engrapers machine gun design was based on the toy gun’s engraves.
Nard said they took a few different approaches to the design.
First, they wanted to make it look like a real weapon, so they went with a real bullet.
“We actually used the actual gun parts that we had,” Nard told Business Insider.
“But it’s a toy, so we used the original box.”
The Engraders machine gun is so small that it was a challenge to print on the 3D printed parts.
Instead, the team used a piece of scrap metal from the gun.
“To make it work, you have to take that piece of metal and bend it into the shape of a bullet,” Nankins told Business Insiders.
Naylor said he wanted to get the gun as close to the original as possible.
“The engravings are really interesting, and they have to be very clear and accurate to show that the machine really is a machine,” he said.
“That’s what we really wanted.”
The machine gun also uses a laser engraved pattern, which Nankin said is very important to show a relationship between the characters and the machine that’s very important.
“If you take a photo of the engraven and then take the photo and put it on the machine, it’s very clear that you are looking at a machine, so it makes it very easy to see the relationship,” he explained.
The Engraves machine gun has been made available to the public for $1,800.
Nankins said they plan to put it up for auction in late October.
