The Premier League has reached an agreement with Leicester City to extend the contract of winger Riyad Mahrez for another year and add another player to the squad.
The deal was announced in a statement by the Premier League on Friday.
It is the second extension for Mahrez, who was signed by Leicester in the summer of 2016 from Lyon, and was a surprise signing for the Premier Leagues new television deal, which was announced earlier this month.
Mahrez will make around £100,000 per week.
The 26-year-old was previously linked with Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea.
The deal also means that Leicester will have two signings in the first year of the new TV deal, with striker Alvaro Negredo and midfielder Riyad Emadi also expected to join in January.
The Premier League will make another deal to bring in another player this week, but the deal will not be finalised until the end of the season.
